Research behind Hoodia Gordonii diet pills
The Hoodia Gordonii diet is an old one, it has been used eaten by the indigenous San Bushmen to block
hunger cravings, and as a natural appetite suppressant.
Long before there were Hoodia Gordonii diet pills, the San have used it to stop
cravings for food and water on long hunting trips for more than twenty-five thousand years.
Hoodia first raised interest in the pharmaceutical community for the development
of a safe and effective food supplement for weight loss.
Ever since its discovery in 1970, there have been countless research studies and
experiments on the extraction of its active component. Later, this unique compound
was isolated and is now known as Hoodia Gordonii diet P57.
The SANL (South Africa National Library) was responsible for research behind today's
Hoodia Gordonii diet pills. The SANL applied for a patent on Hoodia Gordonii in 1977.
It later turned over the rights for the commercialization of the plant into today's
Hoodia Gordonii pills to a United Kingdom company named Phytopharm.
In mid 1977, the Phytopharm company started its pre-clinical testing on lab rats and
compared it with similar other compounds. The pre-clinical experiments were supervised
and conducted by Dr. Richard Dixey. These tests showed promising results and the project
proceeded to clinical testing.
In 1998, Phytopharm developed their anti-obesity Hoodia Gordonii diet pills formula and
decides to go into phase1 clinical testing. The test results showed that 70% of the trial
participants had achieve their goals over the trial period.
In October of the same year, Phytopharm collaborated with drug giant Pfizer to widely
popularize and market the first ever Hoodia Gordonii diet pill supplements in the United States and worldwide.
In 1999, A research facility and a plantation was started in South Africa to support
ongoing experiments, clinical research and the development of today's Hoodia Gordonii diet pills.
Joint research was conducted by both Phytopharm and Pfizer on the synthesis of the active ingredient.
In 2002, Pfizer released its rights on the active ingredient because it was too hard to synthesize.
On the same year, the CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) acknowledged the
rights of the San Tribesman over the local supply of Hoodia Gordonii, and granted them a
percentage of the profits from the sales of Hoodia Gordonii diet pills like HoodiaRush,
provided that the plants were sold as Hoodia Gordonii extracts.
After 2003, several clinical tests were conducted on the effectiveness of the new supplement.
The experiments proved once and for all that Hoodia Gordonii diet pills are a safe and
effective method for fighting obesity.
In these experiments, eighteen overweight males participated in the activity, and the
instant results were reduced craving for food, and a lesser overall calorie intake
leading to as much as 10lbs average weight reduction in only a month's time.
Other separate tests were also conducted, and in one of these tests, was Stewart Gulian,
a resident of Palm Beach Florida, who lost 80lbs using Hoodia Gordonii, and was featured on both CNN and CBS.
The mode of action of this food supplement is the reduction of desire for food.
These statistics do not really set the standard for all obese people, but the fact
of the matter is that it's a proven fact that people tend to feel hungry less often
by consuming the Hoodia Gordonii pills.
As a result, these people eat less than they normally do and in effect loss weight by natural means.
Hoodia Gordonii can hold back your appetite while boosting energy,
helping you feel satisfied and full. It is the most effective way to control appetite,
and is used when wishing to lose weight. If appetite suppression is a quality you
desire in a weight loss supplement, Hoodia Gordonii is an excellent ingredient to look for.
